Northern Dalmatia · Ten days, four of them at sea

Northern Dalmatia Signature Land & Sea

Northern Dalmatia Signature Land & Sea has been created for travellers who wish to experience the region completely — from its Roman cities and protected inland landscapes to the archipelago that defines it. The journey begins on land in Zadar, Krka and Ravni Kotari before embarking for several days aboard a private vessel through Kornati and the Šibenik archipelago, then returns to the mainland for the Zrmanja canyon and the distinctive island of Pag.

The journey

  1. Day 1

    Arrival · Discovering Zadar

Private arrival transfer to Zadar and a walking experience through the Roman Forum, St Donatus, the Cathedral of St Anastasia and Kalelarga, ending at the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun for the sunset. A carefully selected welcome dinner introduces the flavours of Northern Dalmatia.

  2. Day 2

Krka National Park · Skradin · Šibenik

A morning in Krka National Park with its waterfalls and walking trails, the boat transfer down to Skradin and a traditional Dalmatian lunch, before continuing to Šibenik for the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St James and the medieval old town.

  3. Day 3

Nin · Ravni Kotari · the flavours of Northern Dalmatia

The Church of the Holy Cross at Nin and the salt pans, then inland to Ravni Kotari for a curated winery experience and a premium olive oil tasting among the vineyards and olive groves that supply the region.

  4. Day 4

    Embarkation · the Adriatic begins

Embarkation aboard your selected vessel and the safety briefing, then the first afternoon at sea as the journey turns away from the mainland and settles into the rhythm of the archipelago.

  5. Day 5

    Through the Kornati Archipelago

The fifth day is dedicated to one of Croatia's most extraordinary natural wonders. Cruising through Kornati National Park, guests discover an archipelago shaped by stone, sea and centuries of maritime tradition. Unlike the dramatic cliffs of Telašćica explored the previous day, Kornati reveal a landscape of remarkable simplicity, where countless islands, crystal-clear waters and quiet anchorages create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else on the Adriatic. The day unfolds at a relaxed pace. Time is reserved for scenic cruising, swimming in secluded bays and exploring islands that remain largely untouched by modern development. A carefully curated lunch highlights fresh local ingredients while allowing guests to experience the authentic rhythm of island life. As the afternoon progresses, the journey continues through one of the Mediterranean's most remarkable island landscapes before concluding with another Adrion Curated Island Dinner in a traditional konoba. The evening is spent at anchor near Žut Island, where the tranquillity of the Adriatic becomes part of the experience itself.

  6. Day 6

    Island Life Experience

Beyond spectacular scenery lies another defining characteristic of Northern Dalmatia—its island communities. Today's cruise explores the quieter side of the archipelago, where life continues at a slower pace and centuries-old traditions remain closely connected to the sea. Depending on weather conditions and navigational recommendations, the route may include Murter, Betina, Kaprije or Zlarin, with every departure adapted to create the most rewarding experience. Guests have time to stroll through peaceful harbours, discover traditional villages, observe local craftsmanship or simply enjoy the atmosphere of authentic island life. Swimming in secluded bays, relaxed cruising and another carefully selected Adrion Curated Island Konoba complete a day focused less on sightseeing and more on experiencing the Adriatic as locals have known it for generations. As the sun sets over the islands, the final evening aboard offers an opportunity to appreciate the unique perspective that only life at sea can provide.

  7. Day 7

    Returning to the Mainland

The final morning aboard begins at an unhurried pace. Breakfast is enjoyed while cruising through the Northern Dalmatian Archipelago, with one final opportunity to swim in the clear Adriatic before returning towards the mainland. Following lunch onboard, guests disembark and are welcomed back by their Adrion Travel Host, who continues the land programme for the remainder of the journey. Returning to land does not mark the end of the experience, but the beginning of its final chapter, where Northern Dalmatia reveals yet another side of its remarkable diversity.

  8. Day 8

    Zrmanja Signature Experience

Today's programme introduces one of Croatia's most spectacular river landscapes through the included Zrmanja Signature Experience. Guests may choose between two carefully curated ways of discovering the dramatic beauty of the Zrmanja Canyon. Those seeking a more active experience may join a professionally guided rafting adventure, navigating crystal-clear waters beneath towering limestone cliffs before enjoying a traditional riverside lunch. Alternatively, guests preferring a slower pace may choose a scenic exploration of the Zrmanja region, discovering panoramic viewpoints, authentic rural landscapes and regional gastronomy while experiencing one of Northern Dalmatia's most striking natural environments. Although the pace differs, both experiences reveal the extraordinary diversity that defines the inland landscapes of Northern Dalmatia.

  9. Day 9

    The Flavours of Pag

The final full day is dedicated to one of Croatia's most distinctive islands. Crossing the iconic Pag Bridge, guests arrive in a landscape unlike any other along the Adriatic coast, where stone, sea and centuries of tradition have created one of Croatia's most recognisable cultural landscapes. The journey explores the historic town of Pag before continuing to the ancient olive groves of Lun, home to some of the oldest living olive trees in the Mediterranean. Guests also discover the traditions behind the island's world-renowned Pag Cheese Experience, gaining insight into one of Croatia's most celebrated regional products before continuing towards Boškinac. The journey concludes with the Boškinac Gastronomic Experience, where contemporary Croatian cuisine and exceptional local ingredients provide a fitting culinary finale to ten carefully curated days across Northern Dalmatia. Returning to Zadar, the evening offers time to reflect on a journey that has gradually revealed the region through its landscapes, flavours, islands and people.

  10. Day 10

    Until Next Time

Following breakfast, a private transfer takes guests to Zadar Airport or their preferred onward destination. Although the itinerary comes to an end, Northern Dalmatia Signature Land & Sea has been designed to leave far more than lasting photographs. Through carefully curated experiences on land and at sea, meaningful encounters with local people and a thoughtful balance of nature, gastronomy and culture, the journey offers a genuine connection with one of Croatia's most captivating coastal regions. A Journey Between Land & Sea Northern Dalmatia Signature Land & Sea has been created around a simple philosophy: the most memorable journeys reveal a destination from every perspective. Historic cities introduce its past. National parks reveal its extraordinary natural beauty. Vineyards, olive groves and local producers preserve generations of culinary tradition. A private Adriatic cruise uncovers secluded islands, hidden bays and the maritime character that has shaped Northern Dalmatia for centuries. Rather than presenting these experiences individually, the journey connects them into one seamless story where every day has its own identity while contributing to a carefully balanced whole. The result is not simply a combination of exceptional destinations, but a private journey that reflects Adrion's commitment to authenticity, thoughtful planning and meaningful travel—revealing Northern Dalmatia through its landscapes, gastronomy, island communities and the Adriatic itself.
