Discover Zagreb from its historic streets to the forests and viewpoints of Medvednica in one privately curated full-day journey. The Adrion Signature Zagreb Journey brings together the elements that define the city particularly well — history, gastronomy, nature and movement — and connects them in a journey that gradually moves from the heart of Zagreb to the mountain above it. Begin by exploring the historic city on Adrion Premium Full-Suspension E-Bikes, accompanied by a licensed local guide, historian and archaeologist. Discover Gradec and Kaptol, Zagreb's architectural layers and the stories that shaped the Croatian capital. The morning concludes with a curated gastronomic experience at Dubravkin Put, set beside the forested landscape of Tuškanac and included in the MICHELIN Guide selection. From there, leave the city behind and ascend Medvednica by cable car. At Sljeme, urban Zagreb gives way to mountain landscapes before the journey continues by e-bike through the forests of Medvednica towards medieval Medvedgrad, Šestine and Cmrok. Private Mercedes-Benz transportation, premium e-bikes and complete journey logistics are coordinated throughout by Adrion. This is not simply a Zagreb city tour followed by a mountain excursion. It is one continuous journey through the relationship between city, mountain and history.
The day
- Morning
Discovering Historic Zagreb
Your journey begins with private collection from your Zagreb accommodation. After individual e-bike preparation, helmet fitting and a short briefing, you meet your private local guide and begin exploring the historical heart of the city. The route connects Ban Jelačić Square, the Cathedral District, Gradec and Kaptol, Stone Gate, the Upper Town and St. Mark's Square, together with selected historic streets, courtyards and architectural details. Short walking sections are incorporated where appropriate. With a historian and archaeologist leading the experience, the emphasis extends beyond individual monuments. The relationship between Gradec and Kaptol, Zagreb's development and the people and events that shaped the city provide the context for understanding what you encounter along the way.
- Midday
Dubravkin Put
The morning concludes at Dubravkin Put. Surrounded by the greenery of Tuškanac yet close to the historic centre, the setting marks a natural transition in the journey. Enjoy a curated gastronomic experience at this MICHELIN Guide–selected restaurant while Adrion takes care of the bicycles and prepares the mountain section. The pace slows. The city portion of the journey is complete, and Medvednica comes next.
- Early afternoon
Above Zagreb
Private Mercedes-Benz transportation takes you towards the Zagreb cable car. The ascent provides a period of rest and a gradual transition from city to mountain. At Sljeme, there is time to experience the summit landscape and selected viewpoints. Where included and available, the journey incorporates the Observation Tower before the afternoon cycling begins.
- Afternoon
Through Medvednica
Your Adrion e-bike is prepared for the mountain section. The journey now continues through selected forest routes and natural landscapes of Medvednica. Depending on the group and conditions, the route may combine forest roads, suitable trails, quieter mountain sections and viewpoints. This is a more active experience than Adrion's half-day Zagreb journey, but advanced mountain-biking experience is not required. The route is selected to create the right balance between landscape, movement, comfort and discovery.
- Late afternoon
Medvedgrad
The mountain route reconnects with Zagreb's history at Medvedgrad. Explore the medieval fortress with your guide and discover the historical significance of its position above the city. From here, the relationship between Zagreb and Medvednica — experienced throughout the day — becomes particularly clear.
- Evening
Returning to Zagreb
The final section gradually leaves the mountain behind and returns towards the city through Šestine and Cmrok. Forest landscapes transition into traditional neighbourhoods and open urban green spaces. The pace becomes deliberately easier as the journey approaches its conclusion. Adrion collects the bicycles and equipment before private Mercedes-Benz transportation returns you to your accommodation.
